Kimberly Payne, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered mental health care across the lifespan. Originally from Long Island, New York, Kimberly began her healthcare career in Florida, where she spent over a decade in emergency medicine, first as an EMT and later as a registered nurse caring for both pediatric and adult patients. This experience helped shape her calm, thoughtful, and empathetic approach to care, even in high-pressure situations.

Now based in Colorado, Kimberly serves as a primary prescriber and is committed to supporting individuals and families through a wide range of mental health challenges. She is passionate about helping patients navigate life transitions, stressors, and emotional complexities while recognizing that every person’s journey is unique.

As a mother of three, Kimberly brings both professional expertise and personal insight into the realities of balancing mental health with everyday life. She strives to create a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental space where patients feel seen, heard, and supported. Kimberly works collaboratively with therapists and other providers to ensure comprehensive, individualized care tailored to each patient’s needs.

She is also committed to lifelong learning and continually expanding her clinical knowledge to provide the highest quality care.

Outside of her clinical work, Kimberly enjoys spending time with her husband, a first responder of over 10 years, their three children, and their three dogs. As a family, they love exploring Colorado, making lasting memories, and cheering on their son, who plays hockey in the 10U division.
